Comments to To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
- On a scale from nothing to lots, how would you rate the story?
- Lots...definitely lots. I have no idea how I've been reading femslash in this fandom for six years and never found your site before, but I'm very glad that I found it. I love the idea of Galadriel making a sword, and I especially love the idea of worn-out slayers earning rest with the elves. What a lovely way to picture the afterlife. - So, how did you like it?
- bittersweet.. loved it... we loves it my precious...
- On a scale from nothing to lots, how would you rate the story?
- Bloody marvellous!9 out of 10! I love it lots, lots, lots! Just don't let "To Sleep, Perchance to Dream" end here. Buffy and Galadriel are an excellent pairing. And if you won't make it into a novel, then at least make it into a series!
- So, how did you like it?
- It really was magnificent! And I do not use that word lightly. Seriously. Calle Dybedahl, for an amateur, you handled the elven princess Galadriel brilliantly, putting you in the J.R.R. Tolkien class. And no,I'm not kidding. Very few fan fiction writers can handle Galadriel with the sensitivity and respect she demands. Her friendship with Buffy-notably when she presents her with a sword made of elven gold, is very touching. That was a lovely touch, but it could-should, have been longer. More, please!
- Was it too short?
- Yeah, it was! Galadriel and Buffy Summers make a perfect pairing! I could see a great deal of room for expanding it into a full-length novel, with Buffy learning a great deal from the elves, including a romantic interlude with Legolas.Unfortunately,it ended too quickly. Please rectify this error, as I would love to read more of the same.
- So, how did you like it?
- It made a pleasant change from Buffy Summers slaying vampires to see a gentler, more vulnerable and playful Buffy. The TV series made Buffy out to be all but invincible. You reminded me that she was actually human, and inquisitive and restored her humanity and playfulness, for which I thank you. Despite brief references to Angel and Spike, for once Buffy cannot get her head around Galadriel's age, which is as it should be, or the magic you have woven into this story would vanish. The former vampire slayer and the elven princess complement one another beautifully. Don't alter a thing, but make it into a series.
- Was it too long?
- Seriously? Well, as one who has been writing his own original fiction since January 1, 1976, and written an original ten- chapter science fantasy novel that was never published, and am still writing, I can assure you that it wasn't too long, it was too short. I noticed that there was a great deal of potential for the Buffy/Galadriel story that could be expanded into a full-length novel. Galadriel and Buffy work well together. Please continue this as a series. I wonder how she'd get on with Arwen, Legolas or Aragorn. Please give it some thought!
- Was it worth the time it took to read?
- Definitely! Although I never liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a series as apposed to Doctor Who, Charmed & Xena: Warrior Princess, and I thank you Calle, for this delightful story. The Lord of the Rings is my favourite novel and film series, and Galadriel's calming influence was just what Buffy needed.
- Was it too long?
- no itwas just right goldi glue-in RFOL LOl
- Was it worth the time it took to read?
- Most definately! I think I've stumbled across my kind of people
- Was it too short?
- It was too short. Plus, Buffy was never a lesbian. You have some weird fantasy worlds in your head. You should have put her and Legolas or some other elf male together. Whats with the gay crap?
- Would you read a sequel to this?
- In a heartbeat (even though I'm not that into femslash)!!!!!!!!! This was beautiful! :-)
- So, how did you like it?
- wow.. beautifull :D good work.
- Was it sexy enough for you?
- yes. yes. no. yes.
- Was it too short?
- Gorgeous ending, lovely and bittersweet. Great Buffy voice in the dialogue, too.

- So, how did you like it?
- it was crap crap CRAP
- Was it worth the time it took to read?
- yeah...but i don't get it...how did buffy get there?
- Was it worth the time it took to read?
- Yes. And it did make sense, even though I haven't seen all of the Buffy episodes. It was kinda weird though.
- Was it sexy enough for you?
- Nice story maybe your next story could be a little longer.
- On a scale from nothing to lots, how would you rate the story?
- Loooooooooooots. This is fantastic. And in character. And wholly... unbelievable. And made me giggle a lot. Buffy and Galadriel are so distinctly from different worlds... and you have to laugh a little at their interaction. It's strange in a cute way, although I can't see two people so vastly different ever hooking up. There needs to be more!
- Was it too long?
- I didn't like it too much, Galadriel and Buffy were a stupid match. I mean, it's got a good story behind it, I just didn't like the fact that you used them.
- Was it too obviously written by a foreigner?
- No. And it's beautiful
