On a scale from nothing to lots, how would you rate the story?

Lots! I see Gabrielle interacting best with Vila, Cally and Tarrant, and Xena interacting best with Avon, Dayna and possibly Jenna. This may be the first time Dayna has met anyone who can best her when it comes to combat skills, and Jenna may be a little bit afraid of her. I'd like this to be a continuing series, with this as the fist part!

Was it too long?

No, if anything, it was too short. Which was a great pity, as there was plenty of room for expansion and character development.

Would you read a sequel to this?

Yes! I always wondered how Xena and Gabrielle would handle the Blake's 7 crew, and loved Gabby's flirting with Vila.Xena would probably have dealt with Servalan and Travis much more effectively than Blake, in a more permanent way. She'd also make an ideal partner for Avon, given her combat expertise and caution about rushing into a battle. I think it's great!
